Scented Option! Originial 1978 Drawing Strawberry Girl Collab with Creator Muriel J. Fahrion Handbag

A Berry Fun Collab brings you a print featuring the original 1978 drawing of Strawberry Girl & Cat by the creator herself; Muriel J. Fahrion! I am honored and excited to do this collaboration with my friend, Muriel!

About Muriel: Immediately following art school, Muriel was hired by American Greetings as a greeting card designer. While Muriel worked at American Greetings, she was asked to create a rag doll character with a strawberry and daisy theme, in colors of pink and green, for a greeting card series. It was then Fahrion created the original graphic and color depiction.

Moving to Those Characters From Cleveland, Muriel continued on the Shortcake line, eventually depicting 32 characters in total. The line was launched in the winter of 1979 and 1980. The world of Strawberry Shortcake made a big impact, and in two years, it went from a 12 card series to an entire selection of books, clothing, dolls, toy accessories, and home decor. While working for Those Characters From Cleveland, Muriel participated with other toy design teams which included artists, prototypist and writers. She depicted the first concept art for the characters of The Get Along Gang and Care Bears.

Bag measures approximately 11.5" wide x 9.5" tall x 4.5" deep, a medium-sized handbag. Also features an adjustable removable crossbody strap. Bag is made to order and will ship upon completion. All items are made in my smoke-free/pet-free studio.
